Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Karachi – Drive to Thatta
– Pick-up from Karachi International Airport
– Drive to Thatta (approx. 2.5–3 hours), a city steeped in history
– Visit the Makli Necropolis, one of the largest funerary sites in the world, home to the tombs of Sufi saints, rulers, and scholars
– Explore Thatta’s Shah Jahan Mosque, a stunning example of Mughal architecture
– Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Thatta

Day 2: Thatta to Bhit Shah – Sufi Shrines & Desert Forts
– Early morning drive to Bhit Shah, a spiritual town renowned for its Sufi traditions
– Visit the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, one of Sindh’s most famous Sufi saints
– Continue to Fort Derawar, an ancient desert fortress located in the Cholistan Desert, one of Pakistan’s most striking and remote sites
– Explore the fort and surrounding desert landscape
– Overnight stay in a desert camp or guesthouse

Day 3: Bhit Shah to Umerkot – Lost Cities & Desert Ruins
– Drive to Umerkot (approximately 5 hours)
– Visit the Umerkot Fort, where Emperor Akbar was born, and explore its fascinating history
– Explore the ruins of the lost city of Kahujo Daro, an ancient site believed to predate the Indus Valley Civilization
– Evening at leisure in Umerkot, overnight stay in a local guesthouse

Day 4: Umerkot to Khairpur – Sufi Heritage & Desert Exploration
– Depart for Khairpur (approx. 3–4 hours), located in the heart of Sindh’s desert region
– Visit the Sufi shrine of Sachal Sarmast, another famous poet-saint known for his mystical poetry
– Explore the Faiz Mahal, a palace blending Mughal and Sindhi architectural styles
– Explore the surrounding desert and learn about the traditional desert lifestyles of the local communities
– Overnight in Khairpur

Day 5: Khairpur to Karachi – Departure
