This 11-day adventure takes you deep into the rugged wilderness of Gilgit-Baltistan, one of Pakistan's most stunning and remote regions. The trek includes visits to the iconic Passu Glacier, several high-altitude lakes, and the chance to camp beneath towering peaks, including Rakaposhi and Diran. You’ll journey through isolated valleys, explore alpine meadows, and witness pristine natural beauty, all while experiencing the hospitality of the local communities.
Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad
– Pick-up from Islamabad International Airport
– Transfer to hotel for rest and overnight stay
– Briefing about the trek and final preparations
Day 2: Flight to Gilgit & Drive to Karimabad
– Early morning flight to Gilgit (weather permitting)
– Drive to Karimabad, the main town in Hunza Valley (3-4 hours)
– Evening at leisure, exploring Karimabad's local markets and views of Rakaposhi Peak
– Overnight stay in a local guesthouse
Day 3: Karimabad to Passu
– Scenic drive along the Karakoram Highway to Passu, passing the Attabad Lake
– Arrive in Passu, explore the village and admire the iconic Passu Cones
– Overnight in a local guesthouse
Day 4: Begin Trek to Passu Glacier
– Begin the trek towards the Passu Glacier (approximately 5–6 hours)
– Enjoy views of towering peaks and cross glacial moraines
– Camp near the glacier under clear skies and snow-capped peaks
Day 5: Continue Trek to Upper Hunza Lakes
– Full day of trekking through alpine meadows and high-altitude terrain
– Reach the Upper Hunza Lakes, serene and beautiful, nestled between the mountains
– Set up camp beside the lakes, with panoramic views of the surrounding glaciers
Day 6: Trek to Khunjerab Pass Base
– Trek towards the base of Khunjerab Pass, where Pakistan meets China
– Walk through grassy plateaus and remote valleys
– Camp near the pass, surrounded by towering peaks and vast landscapes
Day 7: Return to Passu
– Trek back down to Passu (approximately 6–7 hours)
– Relax and rest at a local guesthouse upon arrival
– Evening at leisure to explore the Passu village and nearby surroundings
Day 8: Passu to Karimabad
– Morning drive back to Karimabad, enjoying the scenic route along the Hunza River
– Free afternoon to explore Baltit Fort and Altit Fort, two of Hunza's cultural landmarks
– Overnight in Karimabad
Day 9: Day Excursion to Hopper Valley
– Full-day excursion to Hopper Valley to visit the stunning Hopper Glacier
– Explore the valley’s natural beauty and the traditional Balti culture
– Return to Karimabad for overnight stay
Day 10: Drive back to Gilgit & Flight to Islamabad
– Drive back to Gilgit (3 hours)
– Flight back to Islamabad (subject to weather conditions)
– Final evening in Islamabad for rest and exploration of the city

Day 11: Departure
